The Charlotte Hornets have signed forward Josiah Allick to an Exhibit 10 contract, according to Rod Boone of the Charlotte Observer. The deal gives Charlotte control of Allick’s G League rights with the Greensboro Swarm while bringing the team’s roster to 21 players with training camp about a month away.
Allick, 25, spent the 2025-26 season with Greensboro after previously playing for the Southland Sharks in 2025. He appeared in 41 G League games and averaged 5.6 points and 5.8 rebounds in 16.6 minutes per game while shooting 65.8% from the field.
The 6-foot-8 forward also averaged 2.9 offensive rebounds and 2.9 defensive rebounds per game for the Swarm. He recorded four double-doubles and finished the season with a plus-minus of plus-5.1 per game.
Allick played 136 college games across five seasons at UMKC, New Mexico and Nebraska. He made 111 starts and averaged 9.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 25.0 minutes per game while shooting 55.1% from the field.
His most productive college season came at UMKC in 2020-21, when he averaged 15.0 points and 6.0 rebounds in 26.9 minutes across 22 games. He shot 57.3% from the field and 35.6% from three-point range that season.
Allick then transferred to New Mexico for the 2022-23 season and averaged 8.4 points and a career-best 7.3 rebounds in 34 games. He spent his final college season at Nebraska in 2023-24, averaging 7.3 points and 5.4 rebounds in 23.8 minutes over 33 games.
His NBA opportunity has so far been limited. Allick appeared in two Summer League games for Charlotte in 2026 but averaged only 2.2 minutes, recording one rebound and finishing scoreless on 0-for-1 shooting from the field.
The Exhibit 10 agreement nevertheless keeps Allick within Charlotte’s developmental system. If he ultimately joins the Greensboro Swarm, the arrangement provides the Hornets with his G League rights while giving Allick another opportunity to remain in the organization.
The signing comes after a major roster overhaul in Charlotte. The Hornets finished 44-38 in 2025-26, ninth in the Eastern Conference, before trading LaMelo Ball to Minnesota and Miles Bridges to Phoenix during the offseason.
Charlotte also re-signed Coby White to a three-year, $74 million contract and added veterans including Dennis Schroder, Dorian Finney-Smith, Grayson Allen and Royce O’Neale.
