Novak Djokovic has been eliminated in the first round of the U.S. Open.
The 24-time Grand Slam champion fell to a 3 sets to 2 defeat to Argentine Mariano Navone in New York.
The five set thriller finished 7-6, 5-7, 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 as Djokovic’s hopes of claiming a record breaking 25th slam came to an abrupt end.
