Jae Crowder signs with EuroLeague’s ASVEL Villeurbanne

Jae Crowder is heading to Europe after officially signing a one-year contract with LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne for the 2026-27 season.

The 36-year-old veteran joins a roster that includes Patty Mills, Joel Bolomboy, Nate Sestina, Edwin Jackson and Yves Pons.

The upcoming campaign will also be Tony Parker’s first as a club head coach. Crowder most recently competed in Puerto Rico with Vaqueros de Bayamon.

Across 28 games, the 1.98-meter forward averaged 14.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.4 steals before leaving the team ahead of the 2026 BSN playoffs.

His move to ASVEL follows a lengthy NBA career in which he appeared in 927 games.

Crowder entered the league in 2012 and represented several franchises, including the Dallas Mavericks, Boston Celtics, Utah Jazz, Miami Heat, Phoenix Suns, Milwaukee Bucks and Sacramento Kings.

His most productive scoring campaign came with Boston in 2015-16, when he averaged 14.2 points per game.

Crowder also reached consecutive NBA Finals, first with Miami in 2020 and then Phoenix in 2021.

Now wearing No. 99, Crowder will bring his defensive versatility and extensive NBA experience to Tony Parker’s ASVEL squad.
