The Ireland women’s team have the first win of their Hockey World Cup campaign.
Goals from Sarah Hawkshaw, Roisin Upton and Kathryn Mullan helped Gareth Grundie to a 3-2 win over New Zealand.
They’ll face tournament co-hosts Belgium in their final Pool C game on Thursday.

This afternoon, the men’s team will look to get their campaign back on track.
They were beaten 3-1 by the pool’s top seeds Australia, and face South Africa from 4 o’clock Irish Time.
