Germany head coach Alex Mumbru has finalized a 15-player roster for the upcoming FIBA World Cup 2027 Qualifiers, with preparations beginning Monday in Hamburg.
The reigning world and European champions will feature three NBA players: captain Dennis Schroder, Tristan da Silva and Isaiah Hartenstein.
However, Franz and Moritz Wagner remain unavailable, while Ariel Hukporti, Christian Anderson Jr. and Hannes Steinbach were also left out.
Mumbru will instead rely heavily on an experienced EuroLeague group.
Daniel Theis, Isaac Bonga, Maodo Lo, Johannes Thiemann, Oscar da Silva, David Kramer and Andreas Obst headline the European-based players selected.
Kay Bruhnke, Malte Delow, Kostja Mushidi, Louis Olinde and Nelson Weidemann complete the 15-man roster.
Germany will prepare at the Turkish Airlines Supercup in Hamburg on August 21 and 22 before returning to World Cup qualifying action.
Carrying a strong 5-1 record into Group K, Germany will host the Netherlands at Cologne’s Lanxess Arena on August 27 before traveling to Gdansk to face Poland on August 30.
