Manchester United face their highest-profile pre-season friendly of the summer as the tour of Scandinavia continues with a clash against double reigning Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain.
The Swedish city of Gothenburg plays host to the heavyweight clash, as Michael Carrick’s side look to build on a friendly campaign that has seen them win their previous two matches – including a 2-1 comeback win over Atletico Madrid in Stockholm last time out.
PSG are an intimidating foe, although their star-studded squad will likely still be missing a number of players who played for France during their run to the semi-finals at the World Cup last month and they lost their previous friendly 3-0 to Mallorca. However, they will still provide a fascinating test as Carrick gears up for his first full season at the helm.

Amad Diallo looked really good this afternoon and he’s spoken to MUTV straight after the game.
“PSG are a good side,” said Amad. “We keep working on our fitness That’s why we are here. We’re happy to have other players back in the team as they return from the World Cup. We need to keep going.
“We need to keep improving the fitness. It’s a big season ahead of us and we need to try and win games.
“It was a good game today. We know how tough PSG are. Having players like Bruno and Mazrouai and others back is good. We’ll have rest of the team in Dublin. That’s an exciting thing and we’ll keep going.
“We have two more games against Leeds and Milan. Keeping improving fitness is the most important thing. We’ve got a big season coming. I hope we can win trophies this season.”
