Kevin Hart couldn’t contain his excitement after LeBron James agreed to join the Philadelphia 76ers, celebrating the blockbuster signing with an energetic video on Instagram.

The Philadelphia native praised James for choosing his hometown team after the four-time NBA champion agreed to a reported two-year, $8 million contract.

“Philadelphia, stand the [expletive] up!” Hart shouted. “Shouts out to my goddamn brother for making the right choice, for making the best choice.”

Hart continued celebrating, saying basketball in Philadelphia was about to become “big” and “major” before realizing he needed to slow down.

“I need to calm the [expletive] down,” he added. “I’m too hype. Don’t laugh.”

Hart has long been one of the 76ers’ most passionate celebrity supporters, regularly appearing courtside and publicly trying to recruit star players to Philadelphia.

His excitement also reflected his close friendship with James. The two have spent plenty of time together on the golf course, and Hart recently joked that a Lakers departure would disrupt their routine.

“I don’t care about what that man is doing with basketball,” Hart said days before the announcement. “He is messing up our golf routine.”
