Kenmare Golf Club are delighted to celebrate the launch of the 2026 2 Sisters Competition at Kenmare Golf Club. This is the 15th running of this event which has quickly become the premier women’s golfing competition in Ireland. Held in July each year at picturesque Kenmare Golf Club, 160 sisters and their families from all over the world come together in Kenmare for a weekend of fun, family, friendship and golf.
The 2026 competition is made even more special with the addition of a fantastic new sponsor, Supplements Made Simple, backed by Dr. Doireann O’Leary. Dr. Doireann and her team have got fully behind this event, and Dr. Doireann herself has taken a liking to the fairways of Kenmare GC, as you can see on her Instagram page!
Supplements made Simple is a medically backed, science-based health and wellness company which aims to support women of all ages to be their best selves in their health and wellness journey.
Having a national brand associated with the competition has given the competition a great lift, and Dr. Doireann is helping Kenmare Golf Club make the game of women’s golf attractive. Golf is a fast-growing sport among girls and women of all ages and this is something to be encouraged and celebrated especially in a sport which has long been seen to be male dominated. It is particularly encouraging to see younger girls joining up to our junior club and we endeavour to hold on to these members as they become young women of the world. There has long been a well-documented drop off in the numbers of girls playing sport once they reach their later teenage years and it is vital we try to promote the sport and encourage our younger women and girls to keep reaping the myriad benefits of time out on the golf course.

• Open to: teams of two sisters with official Golf Handicaps.
• Louise and Joan Curry from Roganstown Golf Club, Dublin are the reigning champions.
• Entries: Capped at 160 golfers.
• Format: Warm-up scramble and BBQ on Thursday 9th, followed by 2 days of team competition play in foursomes and fourball format.
• Winners are: The team of two sisters who have the best aggregate score over the two days.
Other Prizes: Best Dressed, Thursday winner, nearest the pin, longest drive.
