The Golden State Warriors appeared late in last year’s offseason to the point of being the only team that did not make any moves before the season began.
Now the approach has been a little aggressive, as a couple of reports are already filling up the way, with prominent stars mentioned.
The Warriors could land veteran superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis, but they would have to give up their own.
Golden State’s pursuit of Davis would have to include Jimmy Butler, who has an expiring $57 million contract while recovering from a torn ACL, per Kevin O’Connor.
Aside from the veterans, the Warriors have also been reported to be pursuing Chicago Bulls backcourt Collin Sexton and Anfernee Simmons, per Marc Stein and Jake Fischer.
So far, the Warriors have done this star pursuit before; they attempted to trade for Paul George, Lauri Markkanen, Pascal Siakam, Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Kawhi Leonard.
