Darryn Peterson camp concerned about Jazz fit

While Darryn Peterson has reportedly expressed a preference for the Washington Wizards, some around the league believe the Utah Jazz may actually offer one of the best basketball fits for the highly regarded prospect.

According to Tony Jones, Utah views Peterson as a shooting guard with the ability to handle point guard responsibilities, making him a strong complement to the team’s existing roster.

“The irony of Peterson’s camp revealing his preference for the Wizards is that Utah is the cleanest fit for him of the three teams at the top of the draft. The Jazz see him as a shooting guard who can play point guard.”

However, the report notes that Peterson’s camp has some reservations about the situation in Utah.

“Behind the scenes, there is some concern on Peterson’s side that he and Jazz point guard Keyonte George share the same agency.”

Despite those concerns, the Jazz reportedly remain confident that Peterson and Keyonte George could successfully coexist in the same backcourt.

“But the Jazz firmly believe the two can play together.”
