Charley Hull in contention behind Nelly Korda ahead of Women’s US Open final round

Charley Hull moved into contention after shooting the lowest round of the week at the Women’s US Open.

The English world number seven, chasing her first major title, heads into the final round at the Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles trailing Nelly Korda and Sei Young Kim by three strokes.

Hull, who opened with rounds of 73 and 72, made her third-round move with a 65 which included seven birdies, three of them in the final five holes.

“I played really decent actually the first two days tee-to-green,” Hull said. “Just couldn’t get a putt. So just stuck in there and went at everything today.”
