
The Liga Endesa playoff semifinals are nearly set following a dramatic quarterfinal round that featured a major upset and several dominant performances.
La Laguna Tenerife produced the headline result by eliminating Real Madrid 2-1, becoming the first team in 18 years to knock the Spanish giants out in the opening playoff round.
Barça joined them in the semifinals after defeating UCAM Murcia 2-1 in their quarterfinal series.
Valencia Basket also secured its place in the final four with a comfortable 2-0 sweep of Surne Bilbao.
The remaining semifinal spot will be decided between Kosner Baskonia and Asisa Joventut, whose series remains tied at 1-1.
