Munster decider today; Leinster honours for Galway

The Mick Mackey Cup is up for grabs at Pairc Ui Chaoimh this afternoon as Cork defend their Munster Hurling crown against Limerick.

The Rebels came out on top after penalties in an epic provincial decider between the teams last year, while Limerick won when they met in this season’s League final.

Cork came through the round-robin unbeaten and manager Ben O’Connor has named an unchanged team from the side that beat Clare last time out.

Limerick have made just one change, with Barry Nash replacing Mike Casey in the full-back line.

Galway are waking up as Leinster Hurling Champions after securing their first victory at Croke Park since 2020.

Darragh Neary, Aaron Niland, John Fleming and Conor Cooney scored the goals as they beat Dublin by 4-29 to 4-15 in last night’s final.

The reward for the Tribesmen is a direct route to the All-Ireland semi-finals, while Dublin must re-group for a quarter-final with Clare.
