Mark English finished second in the 800-metres in last night’s Diamond League meeting in Rome.
The Donegal runner clocked the second-fastest time of his career, crossing the line in 1-minute, 43-point-3-7 seconds.
He became the first Irish male athlete to win a Diamond League race last month, winning over the same distance in Shanghai.

Sarah Healy made her first track appearance of the season at last night’s meeting, finishing 17th in the 3-thousand metres.
