
Olympiacos defeated Fenerbahce 71–68 in the EuroLeague 2026 Final Four semifinal after surviving a highly physical and tense fourth quarter battle. Team from Athens will have a chance to fight for the EuroLeague title on Sunday.
The EuroLeague 2026 semifinal between Olympiacos B.C. and Fenerbahce Beko feels like a true early final. Olympiacos enters the matchup as the regular-season leader and arguably the most complete offensive team in Europe, while Fenerbahce arrives as the defending champion with elite defensive structure and Final Four experience under coach Sarunas Jasikevicius.
Olympiacos controlled the first half of the EuroLeague 2026 Final Four semifinal with strong defensive intensity and much better offensive execution. The Greek side dictated the tempo, moved the ball efficiently, and created higher-quality shots, while Fenerbahce struggled to find rhythm offensively.

Fenerbahce responded much better after the first half and showed more aggression on both ends of the floor. Their defensive pressure increased significantly, especially on Olympiacos ball handlers, which disrupted the rhythm that the Greek side had in the first half.
Wade Baldwin became far more involved offensively, attacking the paint with confidence and forcing defensive rotations. Fenerbahce also improved ball movement, creating cleaner perimeter shots and reducing isolation possessions. Olympiacos still maintained control for most of the third quarter thanks to: disciplined half-court execution, strong defensive rebounding, key baskets from Vezenkov and Fournier during momentum swings.
Last 10 minutes Olympiacos gain control and mainly through experience and execution in half-court offense. Thomas Walkup controlled the pace well, while Sasha Vezenkov delivered several crucial possessions through smart movement and efficient finishing. Evan Fournier also added important perimeter scoring during momentum shifts.
Olympiacos deserved the win because they controlled the game rhythm for most of the night and played more efficient team basketball. Fenerbahce improved defensively in the second half and made the game highly competitive, but Olympiacos’ spacing, execution, and late-game discipline proved decisive in the closing minutes.
Now, Olympiacos is waiting for the winner of the second semifinal game between Valencia and Real Madrid.
