
Panathinaikos B.C. has not yet resumed full team practices following its quarterfinal sweep over A.O. Mykonou in the Stoiximan GBL playoffs.
Once training restarts, the team will temporarily work out at the Agios Thomas indoor arena instead of OAKA, which is being prepared for the upcoming EuroLeague Final Four from May 22-24.
The facility, normally used by Maroussi B.C., will host Panathinaikos practices until the Final Four concludes.
Some players already returned for optional workouts on May 20, although head coach Ergin Ataman was not present as he remained in Mykonos.
The team is expected to officially begin preparations for its Greek league semifinal series against PAOK B.C. on May 21.
Later that evening, Panathinaikos owner Dimitris Giannakopoulos and Ataman are reportedly scheduled to meet for dinner to discuss the EuroLeague campaign and the club’s future plans.
According to reports, Giannakopoulos has already made winning the GBL title the organization’s primary objective moving forward.
