Julius Randle and Rudy Gobert have struggled during the Minnesota Timberwolves’ second-round playoff series against the San Antonio Spurs, leading to speculation that coach Chris Finch could consider changes to the starting lineup for Game 6.

According to Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic, one possible adjustment could involve inserting Naz Reid into the starting five in place of one of the veterans.

However, the Timberwolves’ biggest problems have reportedly been defensive mistakes and poor execution against a disciplined Spurs team.

Anthony Edwards admitted Minnesota has not consistently followed the game plan on either side of the floor.

“It’s a little bit everything – not knowing the game plan, executing on offense,” Edwards said.

“We know they’re gonna come out to be physical defensively. We know how to go against that. And then us defensively, we know our coverage, what we’re supposed to be doing when they’re in pick-and-roll, and I think we’re just not doing it enough.”
