The Western Conference Semifinals open on Tuesday night as the Los Angeles Lakers visit the Oklahoma City Thunder for Game 1 at Paycom Center. The series begins with both teams entering at full playoff rhythm after contrasting first-round paths.

Tip-off is scheduled for 8:30 PM ET, with both teams meeting for the first time in the 2026 postseason after a season series dominated by Oklahoma City.

The Lakers enter Game 1 with a major availability setback. Luka Doncic is out due to a left hamstring strain, removing their primary half-court creator and leading scorer from the rotation.

With Doncic unavailable, offensive load management shifts toward LeBron James, who is averaging 23.2 points and 8.3 assists per game in the playoffs.

Oklahoma City also enters Game 1 with key rotation challenges. Jalen Williams is out with a left hamstring strain, removing one of their most efficient two-way wing scorers from the lineup.

Williams has averaged 20.5 points per game on strong efficiency, while also contributing as a secondary facilitator behind Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

Thomas Sorber is also ruled out due to right ACL surgical recovery.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander remains the focal point for Oklahoma City, averaging 33.8 points and 8.0 assists per game in the playoffs while operating as the primary offensive initiator.

Chet Holmgren’s role becomes more critical in the frontcourt without Sorber and Williams available, especially in defensive spacing and rebounding coverage against Los Angeles’ interior attack.
