Taylor Jenkins recently sat down in Memphis with Jon Horst, Wes Edens, and Jimmy Haslam to talk through the team’s open head coaching position.

Another meeting between the two sides is expected in the coming days as conversations continue.

Jenkins led the Memphis Grizzlies from 2019 up until his sudden dismissal late in the 2024-25 season. Over that stretch, Memphis made the postseason in four of his six years at the helm.

Before taking over the Grizzlies, Jenkins spent the 2018-19 campaign on Milwaukee’s staff as an assistant under Mike Budenholzer, which helped pave the way for his first head coaching opportunity.

Around the league, Jenkins is viewed as one of the more attractive coaching options currently available and could take a patient approach while monitoring other openings, including the situation with the Orlando Magic.

Doc Rivers is no longer leading the Bucks after stepping away from the role once the season ended.

As for Milwaukee’s direction, the organization has not yet indicated if it will consider moving Giannis Antetokounmpo this offseason or continue working toward a long-term extension.
