The Minnesota Timberwolves and Denver Nuggets meet again Monday night at Ball Arena in Game 2 of their first-round series, with Denver leading 1-0 after a 116-105 win in Game 1. The latest injury report is short, but it carries real weight for both sides.
Minnesota listed Anthony Edwards as questionable with right knee injury maintenance. Denver’s only designation is Peyton Watson, who is out with a right hamstring strain.
Edwards is the clear swing factor for the Timberwolves. He averaged 28.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.7 assists during the regular season, and Minnesota’s offense changes immediately if he is limited or unavailable.
The Nuggets have a smaller injury concern, but it still affects rotation depth. Watson averaged 14.6 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in the regular season, giving Denver a long, switchable wing who helps on both ends.
Without Watson, Denver loses some perimeter defense and transition length, though the core of Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, Aaron Gordon and Christian Braun remains intact. That gives the Nuggets a steadier path to repeating the Game 1 formula.
Minnesota’s other main starters remain available, including Julius Randle, Jaden McDaniels, Rudy Gobert and Donte DiVincenzo. The Timberwolves will need that group to absorb more offensive responsibility if Edwards is limited.
The season series has shown how tightly these teams can match up, with Denver taking three of four regular-season meetings before Minnesota responded on March 1 in Denver. That backdrop makes Edwards’ status especially important in a game where every possession already matters.
Tip-off is set for 10:30 PM ET, and the final decision on Edwards will shape Minnesota’s offensive ceiling before the series shifts again.
