In a crucial play-in matchup, the Golden State Warriors star guard Steph Curry bounced back from a difficult first half, when he scored just eight points on 2-of-9 shooting, and took over after the break with an outstanding performance.

He poured in 27 points on 10-of-14 shooting in the second half while also adding four assists, completely shifting the momentum of the game.

At 38, Curry reminded everyone why he was so eager to return this season despite dealing with a lingering right knee injury that sidelined him for 27 straight games, as noted by Monte Poole of NBC Sports Bay Area.

Head coach Steve Kerr emphasized that determination after the game.

“This is why Steph came back,” Kerr told reporters in Inglewood. “So, everybody out there who thought Steph should have taken the rest of the year off, this is what he does!

“This is who he is! If he can compete, he’s going to compete. And it was just incredible to watch.”
