In a tightly contested elimination game, Stephen Curry and Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors didn’t carry the load alone in Wednesday’s win, as several teammates stepped up in important stretches.

Gui Santos contributed 20 points, six rebounds and five assists, while Kristaps Porzingis added 20 points, five rebounds, five assists and two blocks, and Al Horford came through with timely plays when it mattered most.

Horford’s impact stood out as particularly surprising, according to Nick Friedell of The Athletic.

The veteran big man had gone 0-for-3 from beyond the arc through three quarters, but caught fire in the fourth, knocking down all four of his attempts.

“Steph was in my ear,” said Horford, who had only recently returned from a calf strain with two games remaining in the regular season.

“Draymond was in my ear the whole time, giving me that confidence and letting me know that I do that, that I’m capable of (that). And for me, that was a special moment that I shared with them there, and with our season on the line, it was pretty fitting.”
