The Charlotte Hornets continue to benefit from their February trade for Coby White, as he provided a boost off the bench with 19 points and helped spark a second-quarter comeback after Phoenix jumped out to an early lead, Rod Boone of The Charlotte Observer notes.
White, who is on an expiring $12.9MM deal, will be a key decision point for the Hornets this offseason.
Head coach Charles Lee praised White’s impact and versatility since arriving with the team.
“It’s been a great luxury to have,” Lee said. “Coby’s done a really good job of finding a way to get up to speed quickly and make an impact on both ends of the floor.
“I see him get more and more into a rhythm every game he has. The fact that I can use him in a lot of different ways is really, really good.”
White has played 7 seasons for the Bulls and Hornets. He has averaged 15.4 points, 3.9 assists and 3.6 rebounds in 468 regular-season games.
