The Milwaukee Bucks face the Orlando Magic on Wednesday at Kia Center with injury concerns, highlighted by Giannis Antetokounmpo remaining sidelined due to a right calf strain. The matchup comes two days after Orlando secured a 118-99 win over Milwaukee on the same floor.
The absence of the two-time MVP continues to reshape Milwaukee’s offensive structure. Antetokounmpo is averaging 28.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 5.6 assists while shooting 64.5% from the field.
Milwaukee enters the game 12th in the Eastern Conference at 21-30, and the lack of its primary rim attacker has forced the team to rely more heavily on guard creation. Kevin Porter Jr. leads the backcourt with 17.5 points and 7.5 assists per game, while Ryan Rollins adds 16.9 points and shoots 40.7% from three-point range.
Taurean Prince is also out following neck surgery. Pete Nance is listed as questionable with a left ankle sprain after averaging 5.0 points in a limited bench role.
Without Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee leans more on frontcourt spacing from Myles Turner and Kyle Kuzma. Turner contributes 12.9 points and 1.7 blocks per game, while Kuzma averages 12.8 points and 5.0 rebounds as a secondary scorer.
Orlando’s injury list is significantly shorter, with only two-way center Colin Castleton out due to a G League assignment. The healthier rotation has helped the Magic maintain consistency, especially at home, where they hold a 17-8 record.
Paolo Banchero leads the Magic with 21.4 points and 8.5 rebounds per game, supported by Franz Wagner’s 21.9 points and Desmond Bane’s 19.4 scoring average.
Anthony Black and Jalen Suggs add playmaking and defensive pressure in the backcourt. Black averages 16.1 points and 4.0 assists, while Suggs contributes 14.0 points and 5.4 assists with strong on-ball defense.
The Magic currently sit seventh in the Eastern Conference at 28-24, positioning themselves for playoff seeding battles. A second consecutive win over Milwaukee would strengthen their hold on a top-eight spot while widening the gap over teams chasing the play-in line.
