The Oklahoma City Blue, the Thunder’s G League affiliate, announced that guard Chris Youngblood has been added to its roster (Twitter link).
The player was waived on Friday after occupying one of Oklahoma City’s three two-way contract slots.
Youngblood saw extensive action with the NBA club and reached the 50-game limit for two-way players on the Thunder’s active roster during last Wednesday’s game in San Antonio.
Had Oklahoma City wanted to keep him available at the NBA level beyond that point, the team would have been required to convert him to a standard contract.
Youngblood has played 1 season for the Thunder. He has averaged 2.0 points in 32 regular-season games.
