The Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors face a significant injury battle ahead of their Monday, February 9 matchup at Chase Center. Tipoff is scheduled for 10:00 PM ET (7:00 PM PT).

Memphis will be without Ja Morant, sidelined with a left elbow UCL sprain, and Santi Aldama, out with right knee injury management. Center Zach Edey is also unavailable due to a left ankle stress reaction, while Brandon Clarke is out with a right calf strain. Guard Walter Clayton Jr. is listed as questionable with a right calf contusion.

The Grizzlies’ recent roster moves include a trade that sent Jaren Jackson Jr., John Konchar, Jock Landale, and Vince Williams Jr. to the Utah Jazz. In return, Memphis acquired Clayton Jr., Taylor Hendricks, Georges Niang, and veteran Kyle Anderson.

Golden State faces its own injury challenges. Stephen Curry (right patellofemoral pain syndrome), Seth Curry (left sciatic nerve irritation), and Kristaps Porzingis (left Achilles management) will miss Monday’s game. Jimmy Butler remains sidelined with a torn right ACL, and LJ Cryer is out managing a left hamstring injury.

The Warriors recently traded Jonathan Kuminga and Buddy Hield to Atlanta for Porzingis, a move aimed at improving frontcourt size. Trayce Jackson-Davis was also dealt to Toronto for a 2026 second-round pick.

The team will rely on Stephen Curry’s supporting cast, including Draymond Green, Brandin Podziemski, and Moses Moody, to fill the scoring void.

Memphis enters the game at 20-31, losers of their last two contests against Portland (115-122 and 115-135). With Morant and Aldama out, Jaren Jackson Jr.’s absence has already been accounted for in the trade, leaving the Grizzlies dependent on Cedric Coward, Jaylen Wells, and Cam Spencer to carry the scoring load.

Golden State is 28-25 and comes off a 99-105 home loss to the Lakers after a 101-97 win over Phoenix. Injuries to both Currys and Porzingis will test the depth of the roster, emphasizing the importance of contributions from Podziemski, Green, and Al Horford.

This marks the second meeting between the two teams this season, following a 131-118 Warriors victory in October.
