Defending champions Cork sit top of Division One A of the National Hurling League this morning.

Eight points from Alan Connolly helped the Rebels to overcome Tipperary by 29-points to 22 at Pairc Ui Chaoimh.

A multi-man melee just before half-time saw Tipp’s Jason Forde and Cork’s Shane Barrett both shown straight red cards.

After beating Limerick last week, Waterford can take a big step toward consolidating their top-flight status with a win over Offaly this afternoon.
