Miles McBride is scheduled to have surgery on Friday to address a core muscle injury, a procedure that could sideline him until the postseason.

The guard had already missed time recently as the team managed a left ankle sprain.

In 35 games this season, McBride has averaged 12.9 points, 2.8 assists, and 2.6 rebounds while playing 28.0 minutes per night, connecting on 42.0 percent of his attempts from beyond the arc.

McBride remains under contract with the New York Knicks through the 2026–27 season.

Ahead of the trade deadline, New York added Jose Alvarado, giving the Knicks an additional option in the backcourt rotation.
