The Orlando Magic travel to the Paycom Center to face the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday, February 3, with both teams dealing with significant injuries.
Orlando will be without Franz Wagner (left high ankle sprain) and Colin Castleton (G League two-way).
The Thunder have a longer injury list, including confirmed absences for Ajay Mitchell (abdominal strain), Thomas Sorber (right ACL, surgical recovery), Nikola Topic (surgery), and Jalen Williams (right hamstring strain). Several key players are listed as questionable, including Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (right index finger sprain), Chet Holmgren (low back spasms), Isaiah Hartenstein (right soleus), and Jaylin Williams (left shoulder contusion). Alex Caruso is doubtful with a right adductor strain.
Orlando enters the matchup with a 25-23 record, coming off a 112-103 loss at San Antonio. The Magic are led by Paolo Banchero, who averages 21.7 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game. Anthony Black contributes 15.9 points and 4.1 assists, while Wendell Carter Jr. adds 12.1 points and 7.3 rebounds. The absence of Wagner removes the Magic’s second-leading scorer, averaging 22.2 points and 6.1 rebounds per contest.
The Thunder, holding a 39-11 record, are coming off a 121-111 win at Denver. Gilgeous-Alexander leads the team with 32 points and 6.4 assists per game, while Holmgren averages 17.7 points and 8.5 rebounds. Luguentz Dort adds 8.6 points and 3.9 rebounds, with Jalen Williams contributing 16.8 points.
Orlando’s recent form has been inconsistent, winning only four of their last ten games. The Thunder, despite their 6-4 run over ten games, will need to manage player minutes carefully due to injuries, particularly in their backcourt and frontcourt rotations.
