After an exciting clash at the Belgrade Arena between Partizan and Romania’s Cluj in the ABA League, in which the home team claimed a well-deserved victory, the loss did not discourage the Cluj squad. One of the key players of the Romanian side, Dušan Miletić, spoke about the game and the upcoming challenges awaiting his team in the EuroCup.

How would you evaluate tonight’s game against Partizan?

“It was certainly a very demanding and physical game. I think we made quite a few mistakes, especially in rebounding, which Partizan knew how to punish. We also had several turnovers that cost us dearly. They took advantage of that and deservedly won tonight. Still, I would like to thank our fans who supported us until the very end — their support means a lot to us”, said Miletić at the beginning of the interview.

In the EuroCup, you are facing a tough road game in Israel against Group A leaders Hapoel Jerusalem. What are your thoughts ahead of that game?

“It will be a very challenging matchup. We had that unfortunate loss against Manresa, where the win could have been ours, but now two very important games are ahead of us — first the away game against Hapoel, and then a home game against Aris. Hapoel are among the favorites in the EuroCup, but we will give everything to go for the win in both games. That would mean a lot for our future qualification chances”.

Now that you mentioned next round can you share Cluj’s goals in this year’s EuroCup?

“The ambitions are clear: we want to advance. Last year we finished sixth, and now we feel the team has the potential to take a step forward and achieve a better result”, said Dušan who is real team player.

Finally, do you have any idea what the number 68.5 represents?

“Honestly, I have no idea!”

When explained that 68.5 is currently the best field-goal percentage in this year’s EuroCup, and it is held by him, Miletić continued:

“I really don’t follow Statistics that much, sometimes I take a look, but didn’t know this for sure. But to be honest, the most of those things come from my teammates, they create some open shots for me. We are really good team and our chemistry undeniable”, finished his interview Miletić and once again showed what kind of player he really is, and a good one.
