The Golden State Warriors appear intent on maximizing what remains of Stephen Curry’s prime, which has fueled widespread speculation ahead of the trade deadline.
As a result, Golden State has been connected to several notable names in trade discussions, including Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo.
To make a major acquisition possible, the Warriors would likely need to move substantial salary.
That has placed Jonathan Kuminga, who has been the subject of trade chatter for months, squarely in the spotlight, but veteran contributors such as Draymond Green or Jimmy Butler could also be involved.
With the February 5 deadline approaching, virtually everyone on the roster outside of Curry has been viewed as a potential trade piece.
Despite the uncertainty, Green made it clear that the rumors don’t bother him. The longtime Warrior said he’s comfortable with whatever outcome comes.
“I’ve been here for 14 years,” Green said Friday night. “I have no reason to sit and worry about leaving. But if I’m traded, that’s part of the business. I ain’t losing no sleep, though. I slept great last night.”
