The Sacramento Kings are widely expected to move guard Keon Ellis before next week’s trade deadline.
Sacramento has reportedly received interest from multiple teams around the league, with the Los Angeles Lakers, Indiana Pacers, San Antonio Spurs, and Boston Celtics among the clubs that have expressed varying levels of interest.
For both the Celtics and Lakers, acquiring Ellis would represent an opportunity to strengthen their guard rotations without taking on a significant salary commitment.
San Antonio, meanwhile, could be targeting additional depth at the off-guard position as part of its roster-building process.
Indiana’s interest would be more forward-looking in nature, functioning as an early step toward free agency.
Any team that acquires Ellis would likely be doing so with the intention of retaining him beyond this season, either by re-signing him in the offseason or potentially agreeing to an extension once he becomes eligible shortly after the trade deadline.
