Men’s top seed Carlos Alcaraz is through to the semi-finals of the Australian Open for the first time in his career.
The Spaniard was an emphatic winner in straight sets over Alex de Minaur in Melbourne this morning, winning 7-5, 6-2, 6-1.
Earlier, third seed Alexander Zverev advanced after a three sets to one victory over Learner Tien.

Zverev will face Alcaraz in the semi-finals.

The 12th seed dropped just three games in getting the better of reigning French Open champion Coco Gauff in straight sets.
Two-time champion Aryna Sabalenka also booked her spot in the semi-finals after a straight sets victory over 18-year-old Iva Jovic.
