Golden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga has been diagnosed with a bone bruise in his left knee.
The injury occurred when Kuminga hyperextended the knee during Golden State’s loss Thursday night against the Dallas Mavericks.
The Warriors announced that a re-evaluation timeline for the fifth-year forward will be set in the coming days.
Kuminga had recently worked his way back into the Warriors’ regular rotation following the season-ending ACL injury suffered by Jimmy Butler.
Despite his increased role, Golden State is still believed to be exploring trade options involving Kuminga, and reports have also indicated that the forward has requested a trade away from the organization.
