Ireland captain to make 100th appearance for Leinster tomorrow

Ireland captain Caelan Doris will make his 100th appearance for Leinster in tomorrow’s interpro derby away to Connacht in the URC.

Prop Niall Smyth will make his debut, while Harry Byrne has been selected at out-half, and James Lowe returns on the wing.

As for the hosts, Caolin Blade and Josh Ioane are back from injury to start in the half-backs.

Iain Henderson will captain Ulster away to the Scarlets tomorrow – scrum-half Nathan Doak will earn his 100th cap for the province.

This evening, Munster host the Dragons in Cork from quarter-to-8.

Ex-Ireland international Mark McCall will step down as director of rugby at English side Saracens at the end of the season.

The Ulster native has helped the club to six Premiership titles and three Champions Cup since taking up the role in 2011.

He will remain in a technical role with the club, and take up a position on the board.

Wales full-back Liam Williams has retired from international rugby union.

The 34-year-old earned 93 caps and scored 21 tries for his country as he won two Six Nations titles, including one Grand Slam.

He was also part of two Lions tours, playing in five Tests across 2017 and 2021 series in New Zealand and South Africa.
