Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade delivered one of its most complete performances of the EuroLeague season on Wednesday night, defeating Olympiacos Piraeus 91-80 in a packed Belgrade Arena.
The hosts improved to 9-4 after outscoring the visiting side 32-15 in the final period, overturning a 12-point second-half deficit with a wave of perimeter shooting and disciplined halfcourt execution.
Zvezda buried 15-of-35 attempts from deep and leaned on timely scoring from multiple creators to break open a game that had swung back and forth for three quarters.
Jordan Nwora set the tone with 23 points in his second game back from injury, converting 6-of-9 two-pointers and adding three triples to steady the offense when Olympiacos controlled the tempo.
Semi Ojeleye added 15 points and five rebounds, while Chima Moneke delivered an 11-point, 11-rebound double-double that proved vital in the paint as Zvezda secured a 13-12 advantage on the offensive glass.
Codi Miller-McIntyre orchestrated the late-game turnaround with all 10 of his points coming in the final five minutes, adding nine assists and sparking the decisive run with efficient ball-handling against Olympiacos pressure.
The fourth-quarter shift began with back-to-back three-pointers from Jared Butler and Devonte’ Graham, whose early burst fueled a 13-0 swing that moved Zvezda ahead 72-65 and energized the arena.
Graham finished with nine points in his season debut after recovering from injury, and Butler added five in 14 minutes.
Zvezda entered the final period trailing 65-59 after Olympiacos leaned on Sasha Vezenkov’s scoring surge, as the forward produced 29 points on 6-of-7 two-point shooting and 4-of-8 from long range.
Vezenkov added eight rebounds and carried the visitors through extended stretches when their halfcourt looks were limited by Zvezda’s tight switching and pressure at the point of attack.
Tyler Dorsey chipped in 16 points on four made threes, while Alec Peters added seven, but Olympiacos struggled with 17 turnovers and allowed 20 Zvezda assists that repeatedly created clean perimeter looks.
The visitors dropped to 8-5 and faded late as Zvezda’s energy on the boards and commitment to attacking closeouts wore down their defensive rotations.
Zvezda now prepares to host Barcelona on Friday, while Olympiacos heads home for a Round 14 meeting with Fenerbahce.
