Cade Cunningham is lowkey showing Mamba Mentality after dethroning the Indiana Pacers by winning 13 straight games this early season; they now have a 15-2 win-loss record.

The Pistons’ superstar was not satisfied with their win, believing they were not in their best version against the Pacers.

“We just want to be our best version of ourselves, and tonight was not the best version of us. So I’m not happy about that,” Cunningham said.

Aside from the early momentum for Detroit, Cunningham recalled that they also had the worst streak in franchise history, as they cannot deny since this was the fruit of their rebuilding in the previous seasons.

“It’s pretty cool that we had the worst streak in franchise history and now we have an opportunity to go have the greatest streak in franchise history … but this is just a product of the work. This isn’t what we were going for, we still have bigger things to go do,” he added.

The franchise has been in a deep slump for the previous two seasons, and now being called “Detroit Pistons basketball is back” as they were still the first seed in the Eastern Conference.

“We don’t have the darkness losing over us constantly so definitely feel good about that. It’s a cool winning streak right now it’s early in the season though,” Cunningham added.

Small wins do matter, but Cunningham was always reminded that the job was not yet finished because they had not reached their long-term goals, which is to attain playoffs and win a championship.
