Seamus Power is six-under-par after an opening round of 64 at the RSM Classic in Georgia.
That leaves the Waterford native four shots off the lead held by three players on 10-under-par.
Power needs a top three finish to retain his full PGA Tour card for next season – he’s currently in a tie for 15th.

On the LPGA Tour, Leona Maguire will set off from two-under in her second round at the Tour Championship in Florida.
That’s six shots off the overnight lead of eight-under, held by Korea’s Somi Lee.
