The Warriors issued an update on De’Anthony Melton on Wednesday, announcing through a press release that the veteran guard has ramped up his on-court activity.

Melton has been taking part in workouts, practices, and scrimmages with Golden State’s G League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors.

The team added that he will continue to be gradually reintegrated into practices and scrimmages with the NBA squad, with another evaluation scheduled in 10 days.

Melton has been working his way back from the ACL tear he suffered last November, which required surgery on December 4 and forced him to miss the remainder of the 2024/25 season.

He signed a minimum contract to return to Golden State before this season and has been steadily moving through the final steps of his rehabilitation process.

Anthony Slater of ESPN noted that December has been the “floating target” for Melton’s potential return, suggesting that he may be only a few weeks away from making his season debut.
