
Devin Booker scored 19 points and Collin Gillespie added 19 off the bench as the Phoenix Suns defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 127-110 on Tuesday night at the Moda Center.
Phoenix pulled away in the second half, leading by as many as 25 points before coach Jordan Ott rested Booker in the fourth quarter.
Shaedon Sharpe led Portland with 29 points, while rookie center Yang Hansen contributed nine points in his first minutes since October 29.
The Suns rebounded from a 124-122 loss to Atlanta on Sunday, snapping Portland’s attempt to stay close after trailing for most of the first half.
Booker’s short basket and free throw late in the first half put Phoenix ahead 64-53, while an 8-0 Blazers run brought Portland within 64-61 at halftime.
Ryan Dunn’s dunk in the third quarter extended the Suns’ lead to 80-63, giving them a comfortable margin entering the final period.
Portland made just 10 of 41 three-point attempts (24.4%), limiting their comeback potential despite Sharpe’s scoring effort.
Dillon Brooks scored 12 points and recorded his 1,000th career assist in the first half, contributing to Phoenix’s balanced attack that included 15 rebounds and 24 assists as a team.
With the victory, Phoenix improves to 9-6, while Portland drops to 6-8, losing three straight and five of six games.
The Suns host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday, and the Trail Blazers face the Chicago Bulls at home on Wednesday.
