The Memphis Grizzlies will visit the San Antonio Spurs at Frost Bank Center on Tuesday, November 18, with both teams dealing with significant injuries.
Memphis will be without Ja Morant, Brandon Clarke, Ty Jerome, Scotty Pippen Jr., and Javon Small due to a combination of calf strains, toe injuries, and surgery recovery.
San Antonio also enters the matchup shorthanded, missing Victor Wembanyama, Stephon Castle, Dylan Harper, and Jordan McLaughlin, while David Jones Garcia is listed as questionable.
Memphis has struggled offensively in recent games, losing 108-100 to Cleveland on November 15 and 131-95 to Boston on November 12.
Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. lead the team in scoring with 17.9 points per game each, while Olivier-Maxence Prosper averages 7.5 rebounds. Cedric Coward contributes 14.0 points per game.
The Spurs, despite injuries, are 9-4 and fifth in the Western Conference. Wembanyama leads the team with 26.2 points, 12.9 rebounds, and 3.6 blocks per game, while De’Aaron Fox adds 22.0 points and 6.8 assists per game. Luke Kornet and Keldon Johnson provide additional frontcourt support, but the loss of Wembanyama and Castle will significantly test depth.
Both teams have shown vulnerability in recent matchups. San Antonio narrowly lost to Golden State 109-108 on November 14 and 125-120 on November 12.
Tip-off is set for 8:00 p.m. ET, marking the first meeting between these teams in the 2025-26 season.
