Nuggets head coach David Adelman expressed frustration with a specific aspect of Denver’s early-season schedule, pointing to two situations in which the team had to play back-to-back games with less than 24 hours between tip-offs, according to Bennett Durando of The Denver Post.
Adelman suggested that the league should consider adjustments to reduce those types of scheduling demands, especially when national broadcasts extend game lengths.
“Especially when you’re playing national TV games that are a lot longer (due to commercial breaks),” the coach said.
“That’s something I think we all have to talk about. If we’re talking about the betterment of the players, and you want to see the best product possible nightly, you have to give them time for their bodies to come back and be themselves.”
