The Grizzlies announced Saturday that rookie guard Javon Small has been diagnosed with a turf toe injury in his left foot and will be out for at least three weeks before being reevaluated.

The injury happened on November 8 during a G League game with the Memphis Hustle.

Small, 22, earned early rotation minutes for a short-handed Memphis team, though his playing time had decreased recently.

The 48th pick in the 2025 draft, he played at East Carolina, Oklahoma State and West Virginia before signing a two-way contract with Memphis.

Small has appeared in eight NBA games so far, averaging 4.3 points and 2.8 assists in 12.4 minutes per night.

His injury is another blow for a team hit hard by health issues.

Ty Jerome, Scotty Pippen Jr., Brandon Clarke and Zach Edey have all yet to play this season, though Edey could make his debut today in Cleveland.
