
Brian Windhorst will be staying with ESPN for the foreseeable future, as the veteran NBA insider has agreed to a new multiyear contract extension with the network.
Windhorst, who first joined ESPN in 2010, has become one of the company’s most recognizable basketball reporters and on-air personalities.
He is a frequent contributor across several major programs, including Get Up, First Take, NBA Today, and NBA Countdown, as well as serving as host of The Hoop Collective podcast, where he leads in-depth discussions on league news and storylines.
Windhorst’s journalism career began in 2003 when he started covering the Cleveland Cavaliers for the Akron Beacon Journal, where he gained attention for his early coverage of a young LeBron James.
He later moved to the Cleveland Plain Dealer before making the jump to ESPN, where he has since become a key voice in NBA coverage, known for his deep reporting, analytical insight, and long-standing connections throughout the league.
