The Detroit Pistons have claimed forward Isaac Jones off waivers after his release from the Sacramento Kings, filling their 15th and final roster spot.

Jones, who was waived by Sacramento to open a roster slot for newly acquired Precious Achiuwa, will now join a young Detroit team looking to add depth and size to its rotation.

Jones played in 40 games for the Kings last season, averaging 3.4 points and 1.4 rebounds in just 7.6 minutes per game. He also appeared in three contests earlier this season before being let go.

The Pistons will take on his existing contract, which is partially guaranteed for $1.96 million.

The 25-year-old forward is represented by agents Greg Lawrence and Tony Ronzone.

His addition gives Detroit another developmental frontcourt option as the team continues to shape its roster for the remainder of the season.
