Garvey’s Tralee Warriors Women take to the court at Mercy Mounthawk Gym tonight to take on local rivals St. Mary’s Castleisland in Round 2 of the BIDL.
The Warriors Women got their campaign off to a winning start with a 53-34 win away to St. Paul’s Killarney last month. Priya O’Donovan top scored with 15 points while Orla O’Mahony also impressed with 11 and Louise Galvin was also prolific at both ends of the court adding 9 to the Warriors tally.
St. Mary’s will be a more formidable challenge in their first outing of the season and can draw on the experience of the squad that got them to the BIDL final last year only to be beaten by a powerful Meteors side.
Action gets underway at Mercy Mounthawk this evening with tip off at 8.00pm.
Garvey’s Tralee Warriors Super League side will look to secure a quarter final place in the National Cup on Saturday night when they take on Energywise Ireland Neptune in Round One at the Castleisland Community Centre with tip off at 7.30pm.
