The Brooklyn Nets confirmed that guard Tyrese Martin has made the team’s roster for the upcoming 2025-26 season, NBA insider Michael Scotto reported on HoopsHype. Martin impressed in preseason action, shooting 45.5% from three-point range.
Martin appeared in 60 games for Brooklyn last season, starting 11, and averaged 8.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in 21.9 minutes per game. His performance earned him a standard NBA contract after starting the season on a two-way deal.
The 26-year-old signed with the Nets on September 20, 2024, and initially joined on a training camp deal that was converted into a two-way contract on October 19. His consistent contributions and shooting efficiency led to his promotion in February 2025.
Martin also played 16 games for the Atlanta Hawks in 2022-23, averaging 1.3 points in limited minutes. His development in Brooklyn has been marked by improved shooting and defensive versatility.
Preseason performance has solidified Martin’s role as a rotation guard, with his 45.5% three-point shooting highlighting his potential as a floor spacer. The Nets appear to value his ability to contribute both as a shooter and rebounder in limited minutes.
