The Minnesota Timberwolves are parting ways with forward Alize Johnson, NBA insider Michael Scotto reported. The 29-year-old veteran will be waived following a short tenure with the team.

Johnson, who signed with Minnesota ahead of the 2025–26 preseason, appeared in several games. He averaged modest production in limited minutes during the preseason, including a standout performance with 9 rebounds against the Indiana Pacers on October 8.

A five-season NBA veteran, Johnson has played for the Indiana Pacers, Brooklyn Nets, Chicago Bulls, Washington Wizards, New Orleans Pelicans, and San Antonio Spurs. Across 76 career regular-season games, he has averaged 2.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 0.4 assists per game.

Though his NBA contributions have been limited, Johnson has been a prolific scorer and rebounder in the G League. In the 2022–23 season, he averaged 15.5 points and 12.2 rebounds per game across stints with the Austin Spurs, Wisconsin Herd, and Raptors 905.

Internationally, Johnson has also gained experience, playing for Busan KCC Egis, Atléticos de San Germán, and most recently with the Kawasaki Brave Thunders.
