
The Oklahoma City Thunder announced the signing of center Viktor Lakhin ahead of the 2025–26 NBA season.
Lakhin, who went undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft, brings size and versatility to the Thunder’s frontcourt. The team waived Jazian Gortman in corresponding move.d
Lakhin appeared in a career-high 34 games at Clemson last season, starting 33, and averaged 11.4 points on 50.7% shooting and 6.4 rebounds in 23.6 minutes per contest. He also contributed 1.5 blocks and 1.0 steals per game, showcasing his defensive presence.
Before transferring to Clemson, Lakhin spent four seasons at Cincinnati. After missing his true freshman season due to a knee injury, he gradually increased his production, averaging 11.6 points, 7.1 rebounds, 1.4 blocks, and 1.2 steals during the 2022–23 campaign.
Lakhin also made his mark in the NCAA Tournament, recording six points and ten rebounds in the first-round matchup against McNeese, although Clemson fell short.
