Phillip Enright landed a double when riding winners for trainer Tom Hughes and Sam Curling at Tramore on Friday evening. Bagenalstown trainer Hughes saddled Aussie Warrior to win the opening two and three-quarter-mile beginners’ chase. The gambled-on 11/2 chance went clear from the fourth-last fence to beat the Steve Jones-trained Penalty Try and Donagh Meyler by a length and three-parts. Sam Curling took the two and three-quarter-mile mares’ maiden hurdle with the five-year-old Derryville to complete the Enright double. The John Hogan-owned 7/4 favourite wasn’t all the fluent but led at the final hurdle before pulling clear to win by three and three-parts of a length from Willie Mullins’ 7/2 chance Sugar Cookie.
